Pupil Premium

What is Pupil Premium?

The Pupil Premium Grant is additional funding allocated to children from families who are eligible for free school meals as well as children who have been looked after for more than 6 months and children from service families.

This additional funding is allocated to help schools close the attainment gap for those children who are from deprived backgrounds.

The government decided to further extend the Pupil Premium to all those pupils who have been eligible for free school meals at any point in the last 6 years.

In the academic year 2017-2018 Kisharon Independent School only received Pupil Premium Plus for 2 pupils, totalling £3,000.  This was used for additional 1:1 support music therapy and play therapy.

The School currently has 7 pupils on free school meals and we are awaiting information about the allocation of Pupil Premium for this year.
